My counselling training experience began in 2009, which involved 5 years of extensive University training, and included two placements while studying; a Primary School and at the Probation Service counselling both victims and offenders.
These training and placements helped me experience a wide variety of issues from anxiety, stress, night terrors, relationship difficulties, loss, depression, low self-esteem, lack of motivation.
In addition, I have experienced a one-to-one journey of personal therapy myself and group therapy, so I know what the client goes through on their counselling journey.
I am a friendly, caring and a very empathic person. I am approachable and easy to talk to. I have a great zest for life, am very driven and motivated in my work. I am young at heart and can relate to a wide range of people from the young to the elderly.
I have a broad knowledge of illness & disabilities, Nursing and the Social Care Sector.
I am also experienced in a vast array of other life issues and problems which include bereavement of people and loss of a dear pet, relationships and divorce, Pregnancy & loss, Mother support & childcare, child and young peoples issues.
I mainly work from home in my office in a nice quiet area of the Southside of Scarborough. Home visits are also available subject to a confidential private space being available for us to talk.
This therapy can benefit adults & children, who are experiencing a range of problems and general debilitating problems, issues and anxieties which can affect everyday living.
I offer Integrative based counselling service, which is from a Person-centred/Humanistic with some elements approach with other modalities added if required.
The therapy can be with the aid of a therapy pet of your choice, or without.
Therapy is confidential, empathic, professional, and is especially friendly.
